Woof Moo
Server API powered by KenzoDB, written by Ken Garson Systems LLC

Applicability

This policy applies to “Woof Moo” the app, not WFMU the website or radio station. These are unrelated entities.

Information Collected

“Woof Moo” (the app) does not use an account. All interaction is anonymous by design. The only external supporting infrastructure for the app are the web servers that serve the app’s assets (images, help pages, configuration etc). Web servers will store access logs, including the IP address of visitors, for less than 30 days.

Interaction with your WFMU account is entirely separate from the “Woof Moo” app, and is only accessible via your installed web browser. Neither the browser nor the “Woof Moo” app have any ability to see any activity conducted within each other’s domain.

Cloudflare

Web traffic is hosted by Cloudflare for performance and scalability reasons. The Cloudflare privacy policy therefore also applies, and should be read in addition to this document.

App Permissions (only applicable to Android version 5, aka L, aka Lollipop)

The app requires permission to write files on your device’s External Storage. In Android terms, this is an SD-Card (if your device supports it), or the device’s internal storage otherwise. This is only required to download episodes, and is an unavoidable part of the Android infrastructure. The ability to read files on your device is implicitly granted alongside the aforementioned write permission, and it is required to play the downloaded episodes. No other files are accessed for any reason, even though the permission would allow this.

Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics to gain basic information about how the app is used. It is optional, does not affect usage of the app, and can be disabled via the app’s Settings page. By default it is enabled.

Crash Reporting

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to log errors that cause the app to crash. No personal information is included with this data. It is a record of what caused the crash to occur. Crash reporting is enabled by default. It can be disabled via the app’s Settings page.

Remote Configuration

The app uses Firebase Remote Config to occasionally change app property values without republishing the app. No property change can add further functionality than is specified at installation time.

Your Consent

By using the app you consent to our privacy policy.
